I booked a cheap ticket to come back to Taiwan, where Jason had to drive me to Syracuse Airport for a 6AM flight to Chicago, then I take a second flight to San Fran, and a third flight to Nagoya (Japan), and finally a fourth one to Taiwan. Initially I thought it’s going to be a really tiring and long day, but it turned out to be much better than i expected! Well… my expectations might’ve been too low =). First of all, I checked in online the day before and apparently I was on a “seat management list” for my first flight, which means there was no seat for me (at least that’s what I thought). I got to the airport nervously because I wouldn’t want to miss my flight so that I won’t be able to catch the following flights! Luckily, there was no problems with seats, i wonder if UA is doing that just so I go to check in earlier =). I got to Chicago fine, then I was told that my flight to San Fran had been canceled. I became a bit more nervous, but still somewhat optimistic. What can they do, they have to fly me home! Anyway, I got rerouted so that I don’t have to go to San Fran anymore, I’ll be flying directly from Chicago to Tokyo, then to Taiwan. I should always get my flights canceled! That’s a bit of an upgrade right away. The only concern i had was my luggage, because i had a feeling that it wasn’t going to get rerouted. So I asked, and i was reassured that my luggage will get to Taiwan fine. But of course, when I finally got off the plane in Taiwan, my name was called and I was directed to the lost and found luggage counter =). I suppose the agent didn’t lie, she said it’ll get there fine, didn’t say it’ll get there on time. So I don’t have any clothes to change to, and nothing to charge my laptop, and of course all the gifts for my family are in that luggage! I guess i’m in a good mood cuz i’m on vacation, i’m still optimistic that it’ll be delivered to my house tomorrow. In the mean time, I’ll share some pictures I took during the flight and my sister’s dog - Pocky.
